Ben’s practice as an attorney with the Collins Law Firm consists of business law, real estate matters and criminal defense.
Prior to joining the Collins Law Firm, Ben served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Mark Fishburn in Davidson County’s Criminal Court. During this time, Ben was responsible for researching complex legal issues and drafting legal opinions that have been upheld by Tennessee’s Court of Criminal Appeals. Ben garnered a practical understanding for navigating the court system and developed lasting connections within the system.
The legal and logical experience Ben brings to every case he handles has served his clients well, and his success is marked across Middle Tennessee. He has helped small businesses launch subsidiaries and resolved high-profile land disputes. Ben’s representation on behalf of those who have made mistakes has given hundreds of people second chances in life. Suffice to say, there is not a problem that Ben cannot solve.
Ben’s adage is “knowing the law is only half of the battle.” Ben understands that his clients are more than a docket number, case number, or police report. Ben’s approach to case strategy is maintaining an open line of communication with clients. He views each case as a team effort and encourages his clients to be active members of the team. Ben understands that in order to tell his client’s story and be a strong advocate he must, first, understand his client’s life story which is always much larger than any isolated incident.
In his free time, Ben enjoys all forms of competition. From challenging himself to achieve new goals rock climbing to supporting his favorite sports teams. Quite simply, Ben loves to compete. He brings his competitive mindset and determination to the courtroom for each and every client he represents.
